Yi we qi ji hui fa sheng

it's still fresh in my mind
the incident of getting robbed on the streets
traumatizing
scared
nervous
shocked

those were the emotions running wild after it happened

i came bac from Songkla that evening
a place where everyone should go when ur visiting hatyai
or else it would be a waste
reached 'hotel'
took some rest
went out to search for a cyber cafe just to update my facebook status =.="

and headed of to the streets
roaming aimlessly
just wanted to explore the whole of hatyai
cause it wasn't easy to memorize all the street names
took me a while to recognize using the buildings

as i roamed farther from town...
i got lost
and it was quite hard to find a tut tut car
guessed i ventured a bit too far
it was starting to drizzle
so i tried my very best to search for an exit
but i was approached by 2 men
dark skin
both not too tall
definitely older than me
i thought they were just being frenly trying to talk to me
but instead
one men drew out his penknife
a small one. not too big
and pointed at me

at that point
(OH SHIT flashed my mind)
all i could do was trying to calm down
cause i dunno wtf shit they were talking in thai
then the other men searched for my WhiteBerry
and held to it 1st
niamaccbknnwtfbbq!!!!!!!!
of all things.. took my phone 1st.. FCK!!
i couldn't do anything but tremble in fear
next they wanted my wallet
and i had to take it out
i held on to some malaysian money
begging them to let me have it
i kept on saying
Malaysia Malaysia Malaysia
they showed some mercy and let me off
i quickly ran out from that place...
saw a tut tut
rushed bac to a cyber cafe
and took some time to calm down......

i was so scared i wanted to take a flight bac to msia that nite
but i calmed down
went on9 to look for yinyin
i was lucky they did not take my debit cards and passport
so i asked her to bank in some amount of money to my debit card
so i could withdraw more money (just in case)
to get a bus ticket bac next morning
it was hell
total loss 2.2k
2 weeks well planned trip = 2 days trip
GODDAMNNIT! FUCK!

an EXPENSIVE lesson learnt:::: i shall never travel alone anymore =___=" my minute size shows that i'm vulnerable to these things no matter how much precaution i took.
never the less, I thank God i was still alive. Amen

Neuj-eun-i hu-hoe-man-keum deo sa-rang-hal-gge

so much for a planned 2 weeks solo backpacking to Thai
it all miserably ended on the 2nd day  T.T
I'm still glad i reached Msia safe and sound
Thanks for everyone who helped and cared
especially my twin, yinyin and my ex-lecturer Jason
(will cont the story on next post)

I went to Thailand without informing my family
main reason: not wanting them to worry too much
2nd reason: they would have never let me go

I took an 12 hour train to Hatyai for rm34
not advisable
cause it was dead boring since i was alone
unless u have too much time to spend =___="
just take a bus there
only rm40 for 7 hours =____="
see the difference?

My 1st stop was Padang Besar Immigration
(had to google for pics since my baby is gone >.<)
and you'll reach Hatyai in 30mins ++
overall like i said,
sien journey

BE PREPARED when you have reached...
you will be thronged by touts
they hunt foreigners
not to say scammers
they are just trying to "help"
by being your tourist guide and elevate prices to everything =___="
basically cutting your throat
they earn commission..
cant really blame them geh...
IGNORE THEM and you should be fine =)

Hatyai is indeed a tourist paradise
a small town
where you can find ALMOST ANYTHING

-crazy spicy food

-best place for drunkards (rm10 can get 3 bottles of booze) dirt cheap!

-applies for ciggies as well (i think)

-entertainment ranging from hookers, aqua, tigershow, nfi wat else
(no i did not go there for all these rubbish so i am not really sure okay)

-cheap rides!
their famous "Tut Tut car"
besides that, there are vans.. busses and also registered motorcyclists
price ranging from Rm2 for most of it unless it's a van
BEWARE of scams =___="
since they practically know ur a foreigner
obviously they will want more out of you
so.. BARGAIN and say 20 bath(rm2) or 'yee sip' for a person
before u take a ride
if more than 20 bath in that town area just ignore and look for other tuttuts

travel tips: be prepared to learn or pickup some basic language before venturing or you will have a seriously hard time trying to communicate. no joke. FCKING HARD!

Ps: sorry not many pics to complement it.. sadly.. i'll cont tomoro...

and so the rotting season is starting
back in ipoh
and there's nothing that can be done in ipoh
besides watching movies
dota-ing
rotting at home with series
and hunting for food

can someone tell me wat the hell is this????
i found when i was scavenging food at home
IT'S NOT A FREAKING WORM OKAY

my granny says it's chocolate
=________="
tastes sweet though
i had one bite
and i don really like it

for this 3 weeks break
had already made some plans
was supposed to go kl..
to try bungee jump!
haha!

SEE!
YES I KNOW I AN ACROPHOBIC (fear of height)
but but...
IT SEEMS FUN LOR!! righttt????

but too bad. trip is most likely being canceled
haihs.... ppl pulling out last minute
and it's like a chain reaction later
causing the rest to feel the same way
oh well..
guess i have to get used to it...

Nevertheless
as i have mentioned before
i will go solo backpacking instead

shadows on the wall

Despite such a stupid and screwed up day..
i still managed to put a smile upon my face
i do wonder sometimes..
where do i find that courage to do so...
and wonder why don't i just break down..
instead of faking as if everything was alrite...
very yeng meh?

i remembered watching a baby pampers ad
the baby put up a smile despite the hurdles he went through
maybe i just wanted to be like him... hmmmmm
staying strong

Heng. *Fan Fan*

PS: anyone knows where to buy empty perfume bottles?

Kampar's famous nite market chee cheong fun! quite good. esp the char siu
have to queue up =_____="
one thing bad is.. they don provide spoons.. zzzz

and so yesterday
at 1.pm.. we're headed to Melaka
(my uncle, Adrian and I)
for half a day trip
just for the Satay Celup
yes, it might sound ridiculous but we need to try it
because we still think Ipoh-ians are not ready for this

gloomy day. but saw bunch of hot models!
we were there at the right time
but sadly
not there for sightseeing >.<
and so headed to

BAN LEE SIANG
(along ong kim swee road)
and another shop

placed in the middle of the table
a stove below
and the gravy.
yes, we boil the food USING the gravy itself
it is DEFINITELY different from lok lok
it tastes much better.....

not much variety. disappointment

red sticks (60cents) normal sticks (50cents)
cheap huh?

bla bla

for those who thinks that satay celup = lok lok
try 1st and u'll taste the difference
if you never try.. you'll never know

another thing i wish to ask
Do you ppl mind if the gravy is being RE-USED
after every table of customers
because from wat we have tasted from BAN LEE SIANG
the gravies are being recycled
it tasted good >.<
yes.. it might sound geli
because gravy wor..
wat happens if another patron dropped a fish ball inside the gravy
and another batch of customers found it later =___="
would u still continue eating ur satay celup?

BUT
the other restaurant that we went
they serve a new pot of gravy after each batch of customers
sounds more hygienic rite?
HOWEVER
it doesn't taste that good
it lacks.. some OOMPH
to me.. it failed
it was just like normal gravy

in conclusion
the dirtier the food is...
the better it tastes?
i somehow.. cant deny that..
i really wonder are Ipoh-ians ready for this to be launched
i kinda doubt that...

PS: it was launched years ago. next to mgs. but closed down after 3 months. >.<
